I hadn't powered up this particular model of switch before and was interested in what they sound like, what the light show would look like and how loud the fans would be on both startup and idle.

The Aruba 2540 is a great campus access switch with 48 powers of POE+ and four SFP+ Modules. I'm going to be uplinking using 10GB transceivers from fs.com over OM4 fibre.

There's going to be wireless access points, telephones, CCTV and PCs plugged into these switches. All getting powered (Apart from the PCs) directly from the switches themselves.
