Arx Fatalis is a first person RPG from 2002. It was the first game of its kind that I played, before I had played Morrowind, even though it came after. It has a really immersive and unique world that conveys a deep sense of doom and foreboding. It's set on a world where the sun has gone dark, and the inhabitants have been forced to retreat into the old Dwarven mines to escape the cold. Apparently it is inspired by Ultima Underworld, but I never played that game.

It left quite an impression on me, but this is the first time I've played it in quite a long time. I've wanted to do a series about this game for a while now, so I hope it will be well received.
