ASMR: Fire in the Snow (Making a Fire) (~20 Triggers + Slow Motion)
2,408Enjoy a cornucopia of tingles as I dig out a clearing in the snow on a windy, sunny, winter day to make a small "FIRE! To begin whipping dance of the-" sorry! To help you relax, escape, sleep and/or experience ASMR (What is ASMR? Please read the bottom of this description). In the background you'll occasionally hear birds and a plastic shopping bag crinkling in the wind ("all we are are plastic bags in the wind").
This is my first foray into future videos in this vein. Because I'm a typical suburban-raised white guy who knows nothing about bushcraft, I had to cheat and use firestarters ("I'm the firestarter, twisted firestarter!"), not to mention it being a windy day and I couldn't do this without them. I will be purchasing flint, stone & char cloth for a future video, and perhaps take you camping with me, from packing up, heading out on the road, checking into a cabin, and cooking & sharing a meal together. So yes, the camping / campfire video you've all been asking for over the years.

What is ASMR? It is both a sensation and a medium.
ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and is the current, non-scientific name given to the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand movements, whispering, personal attention or watching someone perform a task. It's like goosebumps, but much more pleasant.
ASMR videos are meant to intentionally help induce this sensation, also referred to as "tingles", but also provide a relaxing, calming, soothing, therapeutic and even entertaining experience for the viewer.
Many people who do not experience ASMR still enjoy the videos for their calming and sleepy effect.
