Tonight marks the debut of a new 12-piece marching band called the Asphalt Orchestra. Its repertoire doesnt encompass Sousa marches or school fight songs but rather charts by Bjork, Charles Mingus, Frank Zappa or the members of the Broadway hit musical "Passing Strange." Asphalt Orchestra debuts around the plaza of Lincoln Center but we get a sneak preview today on Soundcheck.
