On May 17, 2016, the makers of Trine, Frozenbyte, try their hand at a stealth title, Shadwen. Although generally given average scores in reviews, the game offers the possibility of an interesting storyline: an assassin is faced with moral choices that focus on her very profession. To kill or not to kill: that is the question.
Using standard movement controls (W, A, S, and D), the game also includes jumping (Spacebar), attaching a grappling hook to certain wooden surfaces (via RMB), releasing the grappling hook (LMB), attacking (LMB), crouching (C), and climbing (mouse roller).
While the assassin, Shadwen, is on her way to assassin a greedy, corrupt king, she happens upon a scene of a guard threatening to take a young orphan named Lily to prison for picking up rotten apples off the ground. After saving the girl, Shadwen finds herself unable to leave Lily behind. Given her mission, how much violence will happen before Lily's eyes? You, the player, must decide. Let's play Shadwen and guide Lily to an certain destination with an uncertain outcome.
