The setting is 1191 AD. The Third Crusade is tearing the Holy Land apart. You, Altair, intend to stop the hostilities by suppressing both sides of the conflict. You are an Assassin, a warrior shrouded in secrecy and feared for your ruthlessness. Your actions can throw your immediate environment into chaos, and your existence will shape events during this pivotal moment in history.

Assassin's Creed is an action adventure video game released by Ubisoft in 2007. You play as Desmond Miles a descendant of assassins who is unknowingly kidnapped by Abstergo Industries, a modern Templar Order and is forced to use their Animus machine, a device who is helping the user to relive the memories of his ancestors. Without a choice, Desmond agrees to use the Animus and travels back in time in late 12th century to relive the memories of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad and find the location of Pieces of Eden.
