Asterix & Obelix Slap Them All (PC) Walkthrough
walkthrough of the well-known French comic book brand that is "Asterix & Obelix." Slap them All is a racial Beat'em Up that reaches back to the rather familiar traditional system already known to everyone. From the very beginning, the game manages to enchant with really beautiful graphics and really well-executed animations. It was certainly inspired by a game released on arcade by KONAMI in 1992. Does it surpass its inspiration ? Unfortunately no..... developers probably really thought that such a simple combat system, is able to keep the player entertained for 5+ hours. No, unfortunately, during those 5 hours spent with the game, halfway through you really get discouraged from playing. Why? Because everything is mercilessly repetitive. Hordes of enemies are sent at us, and unfortunately there are too few types of them for such a long time, the levels are schematic and tend to repeat themselves despite the slightly changed scenery, which also changes are subtle enough that sometimes it's hard to notice the changes. And when we do get some variety it is based on the mashing of a single button. The plot, too, is presented in a really boring way..... on a slideshow basis where the background is static and when it comes to dialogue it's only the characters that change on the screen from one to the other. Don't get me wrong I like this game, but I'll admit honestly that I'll never get around to playing it again. If it was half as long, offered something more than collecting points and the storyline was organized in a different way, it could be a hit. And so, unfortunately, we have just a mediocre game for one time.
