Dr. McKee, director of the observatory in Colorado, discovers that Fletcher's comet has deflected two huge asteroids from orbit, which are rushing towards Earth. The most terrible catastrophe in the history of mankind is approaching... at a speed of fifty thousand kilometers per hour.

The asteroid Helios should fall in the west of America and explode with the power of thousands of atomic bombs, causing severe fires and earthquakes. And soon it will be followed by its larger brother - Eros.
