Yeah you're really gonna want to come into this fight with a better weapon than a frying pan. It's HP is extremely high and like the golden dragon only the head takes damage from physical attacks... unlike the golden dragon this jackass is running around the arena like a crazy person.
That being said Beatrice's Music box is an accessory you can obtain after getting double jump. Just go behind 3 little pigs bar. It's an accessory that significantly boosts stats at the costs of gaining no experience but you lose all your levels upon returning to town anyways so I'd recommend using it for the stratum bosses because you're forced to return to town at the end of every stratum anyways.
Otherwise you can now speak with Meloo and make use of the small metals.
