Running on the SNES (purely for novelty) is the latest in Super Mario Bros 1 modification technology. Released in 2023, the XASTERIA GROUP set a new standard with this one

This video is two separate run through of world 1, the second time being with a CPU and RAM monitor feature activated via project NESted

After much configuration trial and errors converting Astral World as a SNES rom with Project NESted. A semi-stable configuration was identified allowing this mod to be played on original SNES hardware via the SD2SNES.

In actuality you just need to deactivate "Stack Emulation, Native return address" within project NESted and your good to go! Failure to do so causes BSOD as soon as you reach the first "?" block
It runs very slow most of the time and only randomly gets close to regualr speed.
