🎮 Astro’s Playroom – Game Overview

Astro’s Playroom is a 3D platformer game developed by Team Asobi and comes pre-installed on all PlayStation 5 consoles. It’s designed to showcase the capabilities of the DualSense controller including adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, motion controls, and more—while taking players on a fun-filled journey inside the components of the PS5 system.

You control Astro, a charming little robot, as he travels through various themed worlds inside the PS5 console. Each world represents a different part of the PlayStation hardware, packed with collectibles, nostalgic Easter eggs, and clever platforming.

🚀 Game Start: Cooling Springs Hub

🎯 Your Mission:

Astro’s overall goal is to explore and repair the PS5 system by collecting four CPU puzzle pieces scattered across four main worlds:
1. Cooling Springs
2. GPU Jungle
3. SSD Speedway
4. Memory Meadow

Each world has multiple zones, ending with a CPU Plaza completion area, where you’ll unlock artifacts and solve a giant PlayStation puzzle mural.

🌿 Sky Garden – Detailed Area Guide

(Sky Garden is a zone inside the GPU Jungle world)

🗺️ World: GPU Jungle
• Theme: The graphical processing unit
• Focus: Graphics, lighting, and GPU technology
• Sky Garden is the second or third zone in this world.

🌈 Entering Sky Garden

You start by launching Astro from a flower-shaped launcher. The entire level is set on a floating garden in the sky filled with:
• Giant flowers 🌼
• Bouncy lily pads 🌿
• Vines and zip lines
• Beautiful lighting effects showing off GPU power

🎮 Gameplay Mechanics in Sky Garden
1. Flower Platforms – Jump across spinning petals and rotating platforms with haptic feedback simulating each surface.
2. Zipline Vines – Grab and slide along vines to cross gaps.
3. Wind Gusts – Use the touchpad swipe to blow flower turbines that move platforms.
4. Flying Enemies – Use spin attacks to defeat enemies shaped like bugs and viruses.
5. Climbing Sections – Tilt the DualSense controller to help Astro climb hanging ropes.
6. Rocket Suit Segment – Midway through, you hop into a rocket suit. Use L2/R2 triggers independently to control each thruster as you fly through obstacle courses.

🧩 Collectibles in Sky Garden

You’ll be collecting:
• Puzzle Pieces: To complete the mural in PlayStation Labo.
• Artifacts: Old PlayStation hardware items like PS2 controllers, PS Vita, etc.
• Coins: For use in the Gatcha capsule machine in CPU Plaza.

Each area typically includes:
• 2 Puzzle Pieces
• 1–2 Artifacts

Look carefully behind platforms and above flower petals—many collectibles are hidden!

🧠 Easter Eggs & Cameos

Sky Garden (like all other zones) is full of fun PlayStation character cameos, portrayed by Astro Bots:
• Horizon Zero Dawn (robot dinosaur and Aloy Astro)
• Flower (Astro bots riding petals in the wind)
• The Last of Us
• Journey

🏁 Finishing Sky Garden

You’ll reach a high tower surrounded by spinning fans. Navigate to the top using jumps, glides, and timing the fans’ rotation. At the top, you’ll find the final artifact and puzzle piece, then dive into a flower cannon that blasts you back to the GPU Jungle hub.

🧩 Tips for 100% Completion in Sky Garden
• Use headset audio to locate hidden puzzle piece sounds.
• Look up, down, and behind platforms—some collectibles are tucked away.
• Practice DualSense control during rocket suit flight to master curves and tight spaces.
• Don’t forget to interact with Astro bots performing cameos—they’re often near secrets.
