We check out the beta (Exo Flight Test) version of the Astroneer 1.2 update.

This adds the Recreational Sphere (giant inflatable football) and the Recreational Canopy (giant goal net), plus floodlights that can be fitted onto a tall new storage kind, fulfilling all your rover football needs!

In this Astroneer 1.2 gameplay video we craft those items along with loads of the new storage items, including a tall silio perfect for your rover.

We also discuss what else is in the Astroneer 1.2 update, including mutant seed variants that grow into docile decorative plants, extensive tweaks to rovers, rover drills, cables and other vehicle matters, along with the summer themed palette and visor that you can get if you log into the game during the summer.

We also see what happens if you try to land a shuttle on the giant ball, for REASONS.

In the next Astroneer 1.2 update video, we'll go hunting for more of the mutant seeds, plus go looking for the special rare recreational sphere variants.
