20Let's Play Astroneer Part 1 : First Look! We're trying out Astroneer gameplay on the PC! It's only in Pre-Alpha, so it's a bit buggy... there's bound to be some glitches!
Astroneer is a space-based sandbox adventure game being developed by System Era Softworks. The player is tasked with colonizing planets, creating structures and mining resources. Astroneer has no set goal and no storyline. A public early access version of Astroneer was released on December 16, 2016. A lot of people compare Astroneer to No Man's Sky mixed with Minecraft!
We'll explore a planet as we collect resin, compound, hydrazine, aluminum, copper, titanium, lithium, coal, malachite ore and more! Some ores require a smelter to convert into usable materials! We'll also look into research, upgrading our printer with Solar Panels, oxygen tethers, and eventually we can make a vehicle bay and use a spaceship to explore other planets and the moon!
There are dangerous occurrences that will set the player back by killing them or damaging their possessions. Some of the obstacles the player will have to face are dangerous flora, dust storms and falling from high locations.
In Astroneer Ep 1 we get a handle on the basics of the gameplay as we learn how to play Astroneer and explore some tips and tricks for starting out. I don't know if we'll be doing a full Astroneer walkthrough / playthrough, or if we might do an Astroneer Stream after this, it depends on if you guys like it, so be sure to let us know in the comments and leave a like :D
Astroneer is available for download on Steam, Xbox One and PS4 in early access! You can check out the trailer to see if it tickles your fancy!
