Hi all, a new series will start today and it's another obscure fighting game. Asuka 120% is a fighting game that was released in 1994 and features "bishojos" or pretty girls in his cast. At that time, animes like Sailor Moon or Rayearth were a great success and a lot of games were released with similar stories. I played it for the first time when emulation of PS1 games became popular, and found it very cool. But there's some games before the PS1 version.

The story is set at the Ryōran Private School for Women which educates the daughters of the upper echelons of society. The school's clubs hold a martial arts tournament called the Club Rivalry Budget Contest Mega Fight annually. The main character is Asuka Honda of the Chemistry Club. Other characters include members from the Tennis club, Volleyball club, Cheer leading Club, and Karate club. Each character employs a different fighting style and the techniques are unique to each club. In this series, we will play Asuka story.

The first game was released only for the japanese computers FM Towns and Sharp X68000. This video was recorded from the Sharp X68000, by emulation of course. This computer was famous to some perfect conversions of arcade Capcom games, also, that games were developed using these computers. This first game is very hard and all fights are very long due the combos make just a little damage in the opponent. It features a story, very fun but it's only in japanese. The graphics doesn't impress at all. It was a good start, but only with the PS1 version the game became really good.
