The ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 17 SE (the SE standing for Special Edition) is the most powerful gaming laptop in the ASUS range, and a contender for the most powerful gaming laptop money can buy. It’s one of the first laptops to come with a new Intel HX series laptop CPUs: upgraded versions of the already powerful Intel 12th gen laptop series of processors, with additional cores and cache, something the regular ROG Strix SCAR 17 doesn’t. It has options for the highest TGP models of the RTX 3070 Ti or the RTX 3080 Ti, the latter also coming with unique advanced cooling. On top of all that, the Special Edition has a signature aesthetic design, commemorating older iterations of the ROG series and with some hidden details. But, is it worth the steep price tag?
