Automation: I Tried to Save the Company with a Family Car… So I Doubled the Cylinders Instead
In 1963, we were supposed to turn the company around — build a reliable, affordable car for Fruinian families. Something safe. Sensible. Respectable.
So naturally, we made the Malibu: a V12 deathtrap convertible based on the infamous Lagune, now with twice the cylinders, double the lawsuits, and 0% more responsibility.
In this episode, we attempt to enter the family car market, fail miserably, and fall back on what we do best: speed, chaos, and an utter disregard for emissions or safety regulations.
👀 The Malibu is what happens when your only design principle is “more.”
