In the Avatar universe people have been separated into four distinct element types. We have the water tribes, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads. The reality of bending has quite evolved since Avatar Wan collected all four elements. Originally, humans who then shared the world with spirits, lived in cities atop giant lion turtles who acted as guardians of the elements. Each creature held the power of one of the four elements, and would share either water, earth, fire, or air bending abilities to villagers who would go outside of these towns in order to hunt or pick fruits. Back then, elements were kept separate.

But with the advent of The Legend of Korra we were introduced to the utopic Republic City where all is welcome. The creation of the city during Avatar Aang’s lifetime lead to some new inventions in the bending, and non-bending world alike. What if mixed elemental bending could be possible? What if I told you it's already a reality.

In this video, I will go over all the four elements (water, earth, fire, air), while explaining how But with the advent of The Legend of Korra we were introduced to the utopic Republic City where all is welcome. The context of Republic City lead to some new inventions in the bending and non-bending world alike.
