Recently, Full Sail University installed an Avid System 5 Dual Operator Digital Mixing Console

The System 5 Hybrid is a high-performance digital audio console specifically designed for the ultra-demanding fields of professional music and audio postproduction. It has been the console of choice on numerous OSCAR-winning and nominated projects including: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The King's Speech, and Gladiator.

This latest upgrade to the university's Dolby® approved Dubbing Stage features a 64 Fader Dual-Operator System 5 Hybrid with EuCon DAW control capable of 184 input channels, 48 mix busses, 24 aux busses and 8 group matrix busses per side. The Avid Professional Services team consulted extensively with Full Sail University faculty and staff to plan, design, and roll out its end-to-end Avid media workflow.

Full Sail students will benefit from the accelerated high-performance audio mixing capabilities of the console, allowing them the ability to mix large-scale feature films, shorts, and other media projects.
