Avoiding Missingno Crash in Pokemon Yellow
93This video shows a trick I discovered to guard against the game crashing when attempting to encounter a Missingno in Pokemon Yellow. Usually it's almost impossible to encounter him on an an emulator without it crashing or throwing an opcode error. If you're doing this on the physical game cartridge, this doesn't apply to you. On the cartridge, Missingno crashes are significantly less likely... so just keep redoing the ditto glitch, and you should get a successful battle after a few tries.
Hope this helps people who have had trouble encountering him successfully.
If you would like to know HOW to encounter Missingno in Pokemon Yellow, try doing a search for it. There's many videos and websites already out there that explain how it works. You need to do the Ditto glitch with a Pokemon that has a special stat that is one of the following values: 31, 32, 61, 62, 63, 67, 68, 69 or 86.
Edit: According to MissingnoXpert in the comments below, using a special stat of 182, 183, or 184 will give you a stable Missingno!
