*UPDATE* DECEMBER 2018
It was confirmed by a RetroUSB rep that the 1.30 firmware in fact has issues which breaks compatibility with RetroUSB's own 2017 8-Bit XMAS cart. Hopefully they can fix this in the next firmware update.

*UPDATE* JUNE 2019
New FW's were released (1.40b2.bin, v1.40b3.bin, 1.40b4.bin) These do not address the issue with their 2017 8-Bit XMAS cart. It only fixes some issues with PAL games)

*UPDATE* DECEMBER 2019
Still no fixes. I've decided not to buy the 2019 8-BIT XMAS cart since I don't know if the same problems will occur and I don't want to chance it.

I'm getting major bugs when running this on the AVS (1.30 final firmware). I am seeing the power light blink on the AVS, and the cart eventually freezes up after some glitching.

Everything worked a year ago and the only change in my setup has been updating the firmware. I'm not having these issues with any other carts, including the 8 BIT XMAS 2011 game.

You can also see how the cartridge should look on the AVS (with an older firmware)

And yes, you could get it to work again by dropping down to an older AVS firmware, but then you'll lose all of the AVS improvements such as horizontal interpolation, which keeps the screen from shimmering during horizontally scrolling games, Game Genie corruption fixes, and more. RetroUSB really should ensure that their own flagship products work nicely together.
