Death's Frozen body was thawing, this strange liquid he is engulfed in seems to be helping him heal. Strange images of the mauling from various opponents as Captain cries out in that universe, and Death freezing everything around him in a desperate attempt to survive.
Who found me? Surprised, he slowly opens his eyes and is being held by Talia Al Ghul! She coaxes him, and helps him over the next several weeks, trying to gain the strength of his body back.
There is no Red hood in this universe, but she see's potential in him.
After immense training and therapy she smiles devilishly, realizing he is now her puppet. She gears him up, and hands the Red Hood Helmet of Jason Todd, and he sets off in a zombie like state of chaos and death. Let's go! He thinks as he loads his revolvers and steps into the night.
