My thoughts.. At first I didn't know what was going on in Axegend. Some of the menu systems and in game descriptions are 'interesting' LOL. Once I figured things out, I thought the gameplay was on par with a game like Gorn with the wave killing action, but there is also the strategic aspect of laying traps which keeps this game challenging. I need to go back an figure out what the 'youngsters test your strength' challenges are and meet the big boss and also rescue the princess.
Disclaimer I was given beta test key, to try this game out for free.
It's currently on sale on Steam for £5.75 (normal price £7.19) (June 2020) which I think this a fair price for this game which is still in early access. If you like Gorn, but with more strategy, this could be the game for you.
