In the era of AI and big data, managing and ingesting data into a central platform for analytics and AI is a cumbersome and costly process. This session introduces a solution to this challenge with the private preview of Azure Cosmos DB Mirroring in Microsoft Fabric. This feature modernizes data access by integrating Azure Cosmos DB databases into Microsoft Fabric, a comprehensive suite for data analytics, data science, data engineering, and real-time analytics.

The session will guide you through the process of replicating your Cosmos DB operational data into Fabric OneLake in near real-time.

We will delve into the capabilities of Mirroring in Microsoft Fabric, demonstrating how any database can be accessed and managed centrally from within Fabric, and how data is reliably replicated in real-time. The session concludes with a demonstration of how to seamlessly join this data with all other data in your Fabric workspace and build BI reports using Direct Lake, accessing data directly from OneLake.

By the end of this session, you will have a comprehensive understanding of how to efficiently manage your data using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Cosmos DB. This session promises to be a deep dive into the future of data management with Azure Cosmos DB and Microsoft Fabric.
