Welcome to the finale of the trilogy of the EOrigins Collections, EOIHD or also simply EOHD. This is the last game in the origins, which is the game that started it all. On journeying and rejourneying EO, this will be the only version of 1 I'll be tackling seriously, as for the remake/U...... it will be tackled after the megamixes of EO (EON/EOX and EMD) and it will be tackled in a different way and might be not serious, and more of casual for the various reasons. So far if you want my opinion of definitive version of playing 1, I think this is the definitive to play the game, for me imo. Also this will be only commentated only. Unfortunately looks like setting the audio of the game to min, made the game audio recorded very weak, so I'm sorry about that, next time, I'm making it back to the medium volume it has.
This part tackles the first two floors of the 3rd Stratum, alongside with the midboss. It's just both of these floors are connected to each other.... part 1! And the gimmick is there are pitfalls that you can fall into. As for the encounter.... yeah they aren't hard, you may think that they might be even more pain than 2nd Stratum, but they actually weren't. Again, even I think
if I weren't kind of overleveled still here, and get murdered by some frogs or something... it wasn't big of a threat. Even the red FOEs from only in the B11F, the Shelltor. As long you have Ice Wall (or Anticold in the original) they don't post much of a threat, and I think they drop using it after turn 6, which I now remember after seeing the fight. As for the ant FOEs, just really all of them, they aren't much of a threat either. Sure they can be annoying, with the speed debuff, and especially with B12F, where there are infinite of them, but they aren't too bad. And once the Servant in the room is killed, they're just gone. On just one time ofc, I fricked it up, because I decided to go forward, and thought the Servant will be there. Then we meet up the 3rd stratum midboss, which ofc, the one that can respawn, the Royalant. The Royalant can still be deadly and annoying, especially with few of its skills, and there's one skill that was never used in this fight, which blinds the party and lowers accuracy for.... whatever reason. But again, Immunize mostly solves the issue, especially if level difference system exists. As I shown here before fighting her, the ants in her room as well definitely infinitely respawns as well, until you kill her. And with that, I fought her and bring no mercy (also Apollon goes so hard, even at low levels, it deals so pretty good damage to her.), and boom marks the completion of both floors... for now.... until we get the purple key in this stratum, which we will be getting soon. But yeah aside from some quest where we fight a later stratum enemy and every single encounter, but yeah, it has been very tame so far (unfortunately, you cannot expect this in the remake, since they buffed them real hard now.) Also before I proceed to end line, well I remember we met Ren in this run, which questioned us with interesting insights, and also gave us some kind of scroll, which ofc, lets us unlock the Ronin class! Yay!
Ronin are really pretty great class still here, since they still have Midareba here, and still has plenty of elemental stuff just like EO2. Unfortunately they have a massive downside of the stances being buffs, meaning if they get removed, they will lose access to those skills, which sucks really hard (that's no longer the case in 2, since they are accessible, and they have become like passives instead, and in later games, since they've become states instead.) Also it's not very good in specific bosses, something like against buff count checking. So yeah, but again, it's still the first game, so everything they've done here... is still much forgivable.
Anyway, next time, will be another 0.5 part, where we showcase some things, and Golem conditional fight.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
