The player controls Marty McFly, collecting clocks to prevent his disappearance and tackling minigames like fighting Biff's gang, dodging Lorraine's kisses, and playing guitar at the prom. The game ends with Marty accelerating the DeLorean to 88 mph to return to 1985. Despite featuring songs like "The Power of Love" and "Johnny B. Goode," the title is remembered for its high difficulty and for being considered one of the worst licensed NES games, even criticized by the franchise's own screenwriter, Bob Gale.
