Deacon will gain Boozer’s Shotgun and he will also have his trusty 9MM handgun while in the tunnel. You can’t equip the handgun for right now (it also kind of sucks for this area anyway). Turn on your flashlight by pressing directional pad down. Before going too deep into the tunnel, start to examine the cars and see if you can interact with either the hood or the trunk to get some extra items inside of them. Start out be interacting with the hood of the car directly behind and to the left of Deacon. A cutscene will trigger soon. Deacon will fire bomb a Freaker nest during the cutscene – this is a hint to destroying them later on.
Once you’re back in control of Deacon, aim your gun with L2 then blast the Freakers with R2. Since you have a shotgun, you’ll most likely want to wait until they get in close range, but blast them from long range since they move very quickly. Press the Square button to reload your gun after the battle.
Find the open doorway on the left side of the tunnel then step through that corridor. After entering, step into the room to the left and grab the sterilizer and rag inside. A trail of blood leads to a door in the middle of the tunnel (to the left) – when Deacon passes by the door, it will open and freaker will attack. Deacon will get grabbed and you’ll have to rapidly tap the button that appears. Be sure to react VERY quickly and spam the button or Deacon will die from the grab. Enter the room that the freaker was in and take the bandage, rag and sterilizer inside. Push the vehicle out of the way at the end of the corridor to open up the rest of the tunnel.
ventually Boozer will point out a freaker nest. Approach Boozer and bike to get the bottle and kerosine for creating a molotov. Enter your trusty survival wheel and create a molotov from the throwable category (upper right side). Before continuing, duck up under the hole in the gate on the left side of the tunnel and take the bandage from that hidden area. There is a bandage and sterilizer on the box near the diesel truck (to the left) further down the tunnel as well. Approach the nest along the right wall up ahead and then arm your molotov (from the survival wheel) and aim (L2) then toss it (R2) at the nest to burn it. Two freakers will rush out so get away from the burning nest then blast them. Get on the back of Boozer’s bike to go to the next area and a cutscene will activate eventually.
