0As the darkened entryways loomed ahead, a beautiful vista unfolded, revealing a campsite. "Score!" came the thought—someone else's campsite meant no harm in picking up the boots left behind. Valued at 15 gold, they seemed like a decent find. Following a kid and a cat, the plan was to gain the cat's trust by nonchalance. The kid, worried about her missing mother who had gone herb-gathering, led the way to a nearby house. Inside, a man clearly hiding something in the basement was encountered, though attempts at intimidation failed.
A random key was discovered during the exploration of the house, leading to a grateful merchant who revealed the secret of the basement. A detailed account of the Guild's muscle and a note from the Fist were found within a book. Further exploration revealed a circus poster and whispers of a mysterious old city beneath Baldur's Gate.
The house also hosted a woman intent on removing refugees and a merchant with goods for sale. A blacksmith's place and a hatch to a hidden basement were discovered. After disarming some traps, a box of fireworks and a Dragonborn trying to ward off intruders were found. The confrontation led to the discovery of a piece of armor that granted 15 temporary hit points and reduced incoming damage by two.
Some items were sent to Max for selling, and an unfinished stuffed bear was found and gifted to Shadowheart. The armor was kept, and more fireworks were added to the collection. Despite failing a perception check, the exploration continued, leading to an encounter with a dog trainer.
After leveling up the Druid and adding her to the party, a man trying to smuggle gifts for children was encountered. Another firework joined the collection, along with a note that revealed tension between Orin and Gortash. The adventure so far has been full of twists and turns, with much more excitement surely awaiting.
