fireball's take: The two songs I've uploaded today are pretty similar. Same composer, same key, same general idea. Of course, they're not identical, but all the same. I thought I'd put them next to each other so you can hear it yourself.

Fun coincidence: not only were both this game and Gumshoe scored by the same guy, neither of these games came out in Japan at first. I'm not sure Gumshoe ever did, but Balloon Kid got a Famicom port and then a remaster in Japan later on.
