Fine enough game. Really cute animations and art style. Tons of random minigames, stores, shops, an entire island of quizzes to get the true ending which proved extremely tiring and repetitive after beating off-screen. Some of the movement is jank as fuck like the ladders, the jumping heights and distances don't feel like they were made in conjunction with the level design, rather they just made the levels and dumped banana prince into it. The levels feel really short, they want you to explore but don't allow you to go back since the screen locks behind you like in OG super mario. There's a really great boss fight in here, mr. runch a potato man, and a hot demon lady serves as a decent enough boss as well. Overall the games fine, but too nonsensical and haphazardly smashed together with a mess of visuals, short and uninteresting level design, strange feeling controls youre never given reason to use or become accustomed to, and lots of redundant shops/locations. Last note, I liked the music. Anyway I'd say skip next week and probably the week after that, because Ethan has one last entry as a guaranteed win so he doesn't go postal and shoot up his dojo. I'll pre-record my voice and catch a snooze while he speedruns a literal RPG. See ya after that shits done with...surfing h30....

Banana Prince is an action platformer game for the Nintendo Entertainment System.

You’re a Banana Prince, and you walk around and attack things with your incredibly small axe. You can also push Down+B and make a vine appear, that you can climb, in order to jump higher. When you jump off the vine, you can also hit enemies.

You can use the incredible multitude of rings you collect to purchase new weapons, or you can go to the bizarre minigame island where you answer questions.

This patch, which is the result of the work of elbobelo, restores the original Japanese graphics to the German version patched with KingMike’s translation.
