Starring Mickey Rourke as the titular character, he goes from bar to bar in downtown Los Angeles looking for love and getting into trouble all the while nursing booze. Along the way, he meets a colorful cast of characters who are living the same barfly lifestyle. It's a transgressive look at the life of a barfly in a way only Bukowski could.
