Barry Manilow - Somewhere Down the Road (piano accompaniment cover with lyrics)
Tutorial: https://youtu.be/19UGzcJu1NI
One of the most popular loe songs of all time.
I learned tbis song when I was still in between beginner amd intermediate level on keyboard during my PSR 530 days. I was taught the basics of keyboard for a month (do re mi, fingerings, chords, timing and beats). Then after that I was given a piano chord chart and then I studied on !y own moving forward memorizing chords (even the advanced ones like Sus 4, augmented, dominant 6th, dominant 7th, M7 and all that. Then when I memorized a set i would then go to our song book and look for love songs or any song I am familiar with and try to use the chords i have learned, albeit using auto accompaniment. Then I came across this beautiful yet sad love song and this was when I really got into advanced chords, modes (back then i didn't know that chords with bars like C/E are actually called "modes") but the Yamaha PSR530 had fingering modes to choose from (multi, fingered 1, 2, Single finger) and when I tried F2, i was amazed that it follows what the root note of a chord I am using (inversions FTW!) and that was how I learned modes without knowing what it's called and i had been using it ever since.
I have learned the piano accompaniment of this song years later when I get the chance to play on an actual piano and just improve bit by bit moving forward. Now that i have a pioano vst that i actually Like I decided to cover this song.
Piano-only version will be coming soon after this. I am planning to make iut into a karaoke version with lyrics for you all.
hope you enjoy. 😊
P.S:
This song has a special place in my heart. I haven't even experienced being in an actua, serious relationship yet this song resonates well with me and almost makes me cry. lol. idk but a friend told me that maybe it's due to my past hurts in short relationships i've been through.
