Shrine Idols are items you collect which can be enabled in the Shrine, you do this to increase how much XP you gain but in turn they also increase the games difficulty. You can obtain 8 Shrine Idols in your first play-through and all 10 Shrine Idols in New Game Plus / Score Attack Mode.


There are 4 trophies which require you to complete all 4x Dream Challenges with all 10 Shrine Idols enabled. The Dream Challenges are basically waves of enemies which you must defeat and is a great way to farm XP and Fragments (currency). Here are my successful runs.


00:00 - Kid's Dream / Smoking Pipe (20 Waves)
13:20 - Survivor's Dream / Bedroll (20 Waves)
30:24 - Singer's Dream / Stockpot (20 Waves)
40:42 - Stranger's Dream / History Books (30 Waves)

I started these Dream Challenges before starting the final map and had a score of 258,000 - as you can see at the end I obtain the trophy "Hard Bargain" which is to obtain a score of 1,000,000 or higher.
