2Welcome to the Madhouse! In anticipation of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, we will provide walkthroughs of all the Arkham games, beginning with the game that started it all: Batman: Arkham Asylum.
Released in 2009, this game set the groundwork for the iconic Arkham game series, as well as other superhero games. Reprising their roles from the DC Animated Universe, Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill, and Arleen Sorkin return to voice Batman, the Joker, and Harley Quinn, respectively. This was one of Arleen Sorkin's last performances as Harley Quinn before her passing in 2023.
Batman: Arkham Asylum was released initially on August 25, 2009, for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and later Microsoft Windows and Mac OS. It was remastered and re-released by Virtuos in Batman: Return to Arkham with all of its DLC as well as Batman: Arkham City on October 16, 2016, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The original version was ported by Start Me Up for the Nintendo Switch as part of the Batman: Arkham Trilogy on December 1, 2023.
