Batman Toy Biz & Kenner 1989 Movie Toy Review
120Memories/Nostalgia and history of Batman 1989 movie action figures. Toy Biz originally made the Batman movie toys with a line consisting of Batman, Joker, and Bob the Goon with the Batcave, Batwing, and Batmobile, but then DC Comics awarded the license to Kenner in 1990, who originally made the Super Powers Collection and a year before they were acquired by Hasbro, and they made their own Batman movie toys with just Batman and Joker, and included an exact likeness of Michael Keaton. This video examines the screen accurate Batman figures and reviews which one is the better toy. All Toy Biz and Kenner toys are from my personal collection of superhero toys. This video covers the history of 80s superhero movies, Warner Bros handling of Superman movies, the creation of the Batman movie starring Jack Nicholson and Michael Keaton, and the quality of the toy lines created for that movie. Where I can, I try to show off action features and packaging. There were no Vicki Vale, Knox, Alfred, or Commissioner Gordon figures. Toy Biz Batman movie line was also closely tied to their DC Super Heroes line.
