General Advice: Daliah uses Pokemon that hit hard & hit fast. The only way you can win is if you have fast & strong Pokemon yourself. But even then, your victory isn't guaranteed. Blaziken has great coverage with Thunder Punch & Night Slash which can either land a crit on you, doing even MORE damage or even PARALYZE you! What's worse is that its Superpower hits you INSANELY hard, but if you play around it right, you'll actually be able to exploit the attack & defense reduction that results from a hit that lands. But if things get hairy & its Blaze activates, there's no running from its Flare Blitz which will destroy you instantly, whether Blaziken falls from it or not. Then there's Zapdos which is a special attacker through & through, knowing moves that have devastating secondary effects, ranging from the paralyzing Thunderbolt, the high crit Air Cutter, the confusing Signal Beam & the burning Heat Wave. If it hits you, it'll likely have horrible consequences for you. And finally, is her scariest Pokemon Togekiss. Why is it the scariest? Its moveset. That's why. Hyper Beam, while forces your Pokemon to rest after use typically is saved for the last minute to end battles decisively & could even 1 hit KO your last Pokemon! Aura Sphere NEVER misses, Psychic lowers your Special Defense & Air Slash can make you flinch! The latter 2 of which have secondary effects that are boosted by Serene Grace! It sounds impossible for her to lose, but it isn't. Especially since this is the Battle Arcade. You can manipulate the board to detriment her and/or benefit you in any way you need. Trick Room will help a TON here as it reverses the turn order, meaning you'd be able to land good hits before her. A great strategy if you're using at least 1 slow Pokemon. And you can handicap her with status ailments, but some are better than others. Here are the status conditions ranked from worst to best.
5: Burn.
Burning, while it does damage over time, typically isn't fast enough to take out Dahlia's Pokemon. On top of that, it lowers the PHYSICAL attack stat, but Zapdos & Togekiss are SPECIAL attackers. While Blaziken, being fire type, isn't effected by burn AT ALL. Burning does practically nothing for you unless you get extremely lucky with landing that final hit that allows burn to finish off Zapdos and/or Togekiss. But it'll likely cost you 1 of your Pokemon.
4: Poison.
Poison, much like burn, does damage overtime, but only a little bit at a time. Poison & burn can be stacked with Sandstorm damage & even wrap damage, but that requires a VERY specific strategy to work. It's simply not practical to chip away at Dahlia's Pokemon's health while they're just destroying you instantly. The only benefit poison has is the fact that it'll effect all 3 of her Pokemon.
3: Freeze.
Freezing renders only 1 of Dahlia's Pokemon completely immobile, but there's a 20% chance of that Pokemon breaking free. Even on turn 1 of being frozen. It's way too unreliable. Sure, if the effects DO last, it's nice, but more often than not, the Pokemon will thaw out & likely finish you off. The fact that it only effects 1 Pokemon does nothing to help that either.
2: Sleep.
Sleep is a more reliable version of freezing. Sure, it only lasts up to 4 turns, but the Pokemon STAYS asleep for at least 1 turn. This can give you the chance to get a crucial 1 hit KO. This was the status condition the board gave me to inflict, so I did. And the fact that her lead was forced to sleep help put the odds in my favor, so I did NOT squander the opportunity. The only detriment with sleep is that it only effects 1 Pokemon.
3: Paralysis.
This is by far the best status condition to inflict on Dahlia's Pokemon. It's all about speed in this fight & paralysis slows her Pokemon down! The fact that it can immobilize her Pokemon too is even better. So if the board gives you the option to paralyze her Pokemon, TAKE IT! It only helps!
