The Battle of The Serpent was a interstellar naval engagement that pitted 90% of the Irtoskan Navy under Admiral Orugyass against the Syndicate Navy under Filo Ertas and Wok Navy under Nan Cao in the Serpent System lasting from May 5th to June 11th 2441

Starbase War Background: The Starbase War was a conflict lasting between 2439 and 2441 between the Irtoskan Resurgants and the Crying Suns Syndicate - Wok Contingency Containment Pact over the Irtoskan–Emishinan Conclave border one Syndicates vassals, The issue of Syndicate Subversive Elements on Irtoskan Worlds, and accusations of Terrorism.

The Starbase War, so called because it was triggered by severe paranoia over a series of terrorist attacks focused on Starbases across the galaxy. Every Greatpower of which their was four blamed each other for being behind the attacks. It was found out years later that the terrorist attacks were conducted by each of the Greatpowers equally but that the Syndicate was primarily targeted by it's ally The Wok Contingency who then shifted blame onto Irtoskans which led to the Syndicate targeting them with a flood of Subversive elements.
