A blast from the past, here's a very interesting action/strategy game based on the popular "Zoids" franchise, which was absolutely massive in the 80s (and still going today in Japan apparently).

This is the ZX Spectrum 48k version of the game. It's got some flaws (particularly annoying when you get caught in an endless missile attack) but the gameplay holds up quite well for it's age.

I've picked this as an example of some of the wild creativity that was going on in the mid-80s home computer scene. This game was far bigger and more ambitious than most Spectrum 48k games of the time.

I'm using RetroArch with FUSE to play this, although I do own the original cassette I don't have my Spectrum computers here at this house.
