BattleTech has grown into a huge, fascinating universe through the years. We met with Jordan Weissman, the original creator of BattleTech and talked also about the fiction set in the science fiction future of 3025.
One major part of the fiction are the books - and there's a lot of them! Over 200 and counting!
"When we started the novels one of the goals was to tell stories we viewed as the three layers of the cake. The first layer is the kind of cockpit point, the stories that focus on individual men and women in the cockpit. Kind of trench view. Second layer was to step up to the generals point of view and then the politics and the court intrigues with the leaders of the various houses."
And of course with plenty of backstabbing. The quality of the books has varied, so to say, so what else Jordan had to say about them? Check that in the video interview and learn what were the master's favourite books too!
