Take on the underworld in the Capcom-produced gangland brawler Beatdown. Players get to select from one of five tough characters, each with their own stats and fighting styles. From then on, it's fight, fight, and fight some more. Two types of fights exist in the gritty urban environments of Beatdown. One is free-for-all street fights versus a variety of NPCs, while the other is a one-on-one bout presented much like a standard fighting game. Players can eliminate their opponents by depleting their health, or they can demoralize them by taking down their pride. Special "beatdown" moves allow maximum damage on opponents, usually with a violent graphical payoff. Opponents can even be recruited to join a player's "posse", and can be called upon as an AI helper via an in-game mobile phone call. Beatdown also features a disguise system, allowing players to escape the heat by extensively customizing their in-game character model.
