We have reached Beer Tasting #14, where we tasted The Fear, an Imperial Pumpkin Ale from Flying Dog Brewery in Frederick, MD. Dark brown when poured into a glass, giving off hints of spice. When tasting, nutmeg and cinnamon hit you right away, dissipates, and then chocolate notes kick in. I paired this with peanut butter fudge, which was indulgent, but I was upset that the pairing did not enhance the beer because I was so excited for it.
