WHAT IS PARALLAX?
“Parallax” is a science fiction themed album by Bending Grid. It's a double album with 20-songs of vocal synthwave music and features vocals from 12 amazing guest artists and Bending Grid. All 20 songs in the album have vocals. Bending Grid was inspired to make this album by the many popular 80’s scifi films and lesser known 80’s scifi B-movie cult-classics. He decided to create a full album that explores this theme. As such, each song in Parallax was written to tell a unique story or explore a topic using a science fiction framework.
WHO IS BENDING GRID?
Bending Grid is an Independent Electronic Musician from Summerville, South Carolina; focusing on the Synthwave, Retrowave, and Popwave genres. He’s released several singles, collaborations, remixes, and an EP. Bending Grid music has had radio airplay both domestically and internationally. He recently had his song “Love Arcade” added to the arcade video game StepManiaX, which is a step/dance game found in hundreds of arcade locations worldwide.
WHY THIS KICKSTARTER?
Bending Grid has turned to crowdfunding to get the album pressed on vinyl record and to fund music videos for the album. The base Kickstarter budget/goal will cover vinyl manufacturing for the album, distribution, and shipping to Kickstarter patrons and includes fees imposed by Kickstarter for the crowdfund service. It will also help fund music videos for the album. The number of and quality level of music videos will increase the further the Kickstarter funding exceeds the base goal. All funds raised in this Kickstarter will be used exclusively for the vinyl production and music videos for Parallax.
