Once upon a time back in 2013 there lived three creatures near Stockholm in Sweden. They were called Anton "Trollmania" Tordås, Sten-oskar "Trollpung" Johansson and Stefan "ÖLtomten Stolica. One evening Trollmania decided to take a trip to the dead end of the forest to write a song for a new project. The purpose was to create something out of the dark tales of the scandinavian folklore, with influences from old black metal and todays folk metal, but also folk music in general. After spent some time in the woods the song "När skogen ryter" was created, but there was still something missing, thats why Trollpung were asked to do some vocals on the next song called "Vinterfader" With his screaming black metal vocals the project took another step to the original ide, so they decided to continue working together. Shortly after that ÖLtomten came along, and with his dark and mean bass lines the lineup was complete. Now they needed a name, they came up with "Bergsvriden" which basically describes a disfigured lonely wooden creature. They were gonna write the lyrics in swedish and make the storys as cold and dark as the music it self.
