Sony’s PS Portal has quietly become one of the most successful PlayStation accessories in years. Despite early doubts, the handheld is now owned by around five percent of PS5 users and is officially the most-used device for Remote Play. Sony has even expanded its capabilities with cloud streaming for PS Plus Premium members, allowing access to thousands of games without a console.
Insomniac Games has confirmed that Marvel’s Wolverine remains on schedule for Fall 2026, even after Rockstar delayed Grand Theft Auto VI into November that year. Built by the same team behind Spider-Man 2, the game promises brutal, cinematic combat and a darker story exploring Logan’s past.
Hideo Kojima and his team are expanding fast as Kojima Productions begins hiring across multiple departments for two ambitious new games, OD and Physint. OD, developed with filmmaker Jordan Peele, blurs the line between cinema and horror, while Physint marks Kojima’s return to stealth-action storytelling reminiscent of Metal Gear.
Mafia: The Old Country has outperformed Take-Two’s sales expectations, proving that strong single-player stories still matter. With nearly three million preorders and close to 800,000 copies sold in its first few days, the game has revived the Mafia series in a big way.
Halo Infinite is receiving its final major update, bringing double XP, new maps, and over 200 customization items before 343 Industries moves on. The update, called Operation Infinite, launches November 18 and marks the end of active post-launch development. The studio’s focus now shifts toward Halo: Campaign Evolved, a remake of the 2001 classic built in Unreal Engine 5, and several rumoured projects, including Halo 2 and 3 remakes.
BioWare has officially confirmed that the next Mass Effect is still in full development, putting to rest rumours about its cancellation. Executive Producer Mike Gamble assured fans that the team is focused solely on the project, with both EA and BioWare committed to continuing the series.
