Bill Staines - Sourdough/The Miner's Song
1,043Bill Staines has been recording folk music for over 40 years. He writes most of the songs he sings, which are tales that he has woven of Americana adventures. I made this video for a medley of two of his songs, "Sourdough" and "The Miner's Song". It's about the 1899 Alaska Gold Rush. My cousin provided me with the beautiful pictures that I used during the instrumental parts at the beginning and end of the video.
This medley is from Bill's album "Wild, Wild, Heart" from 1985. The lonesome-sounding violin is played by Stuart Shulman.
