In this Let’s Play, I show off gameplay for Particle Fleet: Emergence, recently released on Steam. In this episode we play the Tenth mission, “Ties,” in the game’s main campaign.
The basic idea: You have a corporate fleet of spaceships that fly through space (and through some red and blue plasma floating in space), and try to fight off the “Particulate”, the red particles that fly towards your spaceships in order to destroy them. You can shoot them down, but this particle fleet may well overwhelm you, so you have to be careful! You can build energy wells, and when your ships are in the radius of those wells, they automatically recharge. But when outside the energy wells, when your ships get hit they take damage, and can loose their ability to shoot and even to move. So you have to think strategically, making sure that when you take damage, you will be in a position to get your ship repaired, and never getting overwhelmed. Sound like fun? Then give Particle Fleet: Emergence a shot!

Particle Fleet: Emergence gives the player designable and modular units.Players engage the particulate blobs in a highly varied simulation using units that are partially destructible, modular, and high varied. Players can choose to use default designs or create their own and play any mission.

As Chief Executive Ticon you should have been the Galactic Executive Officer.... but you aren't. Instead, you and small corporation of dedicated employees have ventured into Redacted Space risking your fortunes and your lives. What you find will challenge your tactical and strategic skills as you adapt to a threat that surrounds and engulfs.
User generated content is never forgotten.
Use a random map generator, a full map editor, ship editor, built in scripting language, and more tools to create and share missions with the included online sharing system. Or, just download and enjoy the many missions created by others.
