INTRODUCTION:
The night was quite until the Twin witches Candel and Alice began to play around the treause of Kalela Kingdom, which they should look after to gain the title of Royal Magicians.

Suddenly, the collision of their magic wands provoked their fusion and a great tornado that scattered the treasure throughout the kingdom.

Now they must recover all the diamonds to settle up their debt to the king and obtain forgiveness from their teacher who will free them from the spell, by using their magic, it doesn't matter if black or white.

Collect all diamonds in screen before the time ends. Use your magic to break the balls of your same color (black/white) and to paralize enemies for a while.

If your magic bar is empty, it will flash and you need to recharge it at magic cristals. But remember that every recharge changes your color.

There are 6 world to complete: High Mountains, The Dark Woods, Coconuts Beach, Creepy Castle, The Cavern and the Aztec Pyramid.

REVIEW:
This is a huge game with 64 screens to beat, and to finish a screen and move on to the next one you have to collect all the diamonds. There is enemies that can either be paralyzed with your magic wand, and there is also some black / white balls that blocks the way. These balls is a fresh element adding puzzle elements to this platform game, because you have to use your magic wand to remove the balls, but you have to be black for removing the black balls and white for removing the white balls.

Your magic wand can be used three times before it has to be recharged, but when recharged it will change from one color to another. You have to hit either a ball or an enemy to activate the magic wand, and sometimes it can be an advantage to use it several times on the same enemy to empty it so you can recharge it and make it change to another color, for using it on some balls with a specific color.

The pause button is “J” and it is recommended to use it at the beginning of some of the later levels, then you can plan your route, because it doesn’t matter which way you go, you have to take the right way, depending on if you start as black or white and how the black / white balls are placed.

You can only go left / right but at some screens there are different things that you can use as a trampoline to jump and broomsticks that can be used as transportable platforms. If there is no edge around the screens you can leave them from one side for reentering them from the opposite.

There are six worlds to complete, all with different enemies and layout, and from the third world some of the enemies will start to shoot at you or throw stuff after you. Besides the enemies you are also up against the clock on each screen, but it is possible to collect extra time, and you can also collect other things that will help you. When destroyed some of the balls will have these extras.

The background graphics are stunning, very detailed and colorful. Most of the time it is fine, but it causes some clash here and there, and all the enemies walking in front of the diamonds will have the diamonds color for changing color when the diamonds is collected. At some levels it can also be hard to see where you start, and if you start as black or white because you start in front of some background objects that makes it difficult to see this.

A very good effort for making an arcade game for the Spectrum. It plays and controls well and there is some great animations when using the trampoline objects. With 64 screens you can keep playing this game forever. Some of the later levels offers a really good challenge because the screens are totally packed with diamonds and enemies. These are “J” screens – “Pause”, and then look for where you start in all this, do you start as black or white, and what route to take… When completing a world you get a “World completed” screen and afterwards a screen with a map showing how far you have come. There is passwords for every world so you do not have to start from the beginning every time. The music at the title screen is Michael Jackson’s Black Or White, all the worlds have their separate soundtrack and some great arcade like sfx.

The game was made by Pat Moriata Team in 2020.
