Seventh episode of the Hermitage series. We encounter the Black Mist for the first time... It's unforgiving...

Post-upload edit: Sorry this is going to be the end of this series for a few reasons:

1) The game is a bit too slow for my liking. The writing is really good and the translation is pretty remarkable imo, but it took a huge amount of time to "warm up".

2) So I looked up what cases the game over screens. Apparently, if you ever fail a case solve (the match 3 bits of info together), that's it. Game over. This would be ok if the game autosaved before the case solution, but I didn't get one. My last hard save was like an hour or two before that and I'm not willing to skip text back to that point. Honestly, if I were to record it, I would probably now do it with a walkthrough so I don't have this time loss, at which point I am just basically reading a story and not interacting with it. If that's your jam, then you'll enjoy this game. But I do like a bit of diverging path lines to make my decisions matter.

3) Related to 2) - The skip button is unbelievably slow. In Guan moon high school it was like sonic the hedgehog so you could get back to the live or die decision in seconds. I legitimately think it would take me like 20-30 mins to skip to back to where I was. I'm not willing to do it, because of points 1) and 2).

4) It has no viewership right now, so I don't have a drive to overcome 1), 2) or 3).

This might seem harsh, and I don't usually like leaving story games unfinished, but in this case the juice just isn't worth the squeeze.

Overall, though if you heed my advice and save before every case file section where you match the 3 pieces of evidence together then you'll be fine even if you fail. Just immediately reload (unless you are chasing the bad end achievement). Then I think if you are invested in the story then the game is fine, but as I said, it's basically an interactive book at that point.

If there is a surge of interest suddenly, I will continue the story I suppose. :P But I'd rather play some SAP or PQ. :D
