The game is set in the year 1996, two years after the events of the first movie. Ellis, a former police officer, travels to the Black Hills Forest to join the search party for a missing boy, nine-year old Peter Shannon. He brings with him, his pet dog, Bullet. While driving towards the Forest, he calls his Ex-Girlfriend, Jess. When he arrives at the Forest, he takes his flashlight, and acquires a Walkie-Talkie and begins his search.
