-Anime is a bad influence on men and women. It teaches girls to dress like trash harlots and teaches boys to lust. Yes, that includes the Pokemon franchise. I love Pokemon. But I also hate Pokemon.
-This is my all time favorite battle in the anime. “Harrison’s Blaziken is a really strong pokemon. But luckily I have the perfect match to that power right here”. Let’s begin.
-1:47 There’s that “dodge it!” technique again. It needs to exist in the games. But balanced, not broken like Double Team.
-2:05 Charizard’s flying would still be a big advantage if he had a flying type move. lol But alas, he does not.
-2:11 It’s impossible to dodge mid-air. But I’ll allow it.
-2:20 Using Flamethrower brought something to mind. It really irks me that Blaziken has more Special attack than charizard. It’s 1 base stat higher, but still. They should have made it 101 and made his speed 104 or something.
-2:41 Whether it’s level 50 all or level 100 anything goes, it doesn’t change the battle’s outcome much in the video games.

-4:45 During the battle against Bayleef, Misty mentioned how Blaziken is one of the fastest pokemon she’s ever seen. 85 base speed isn’t anything to write home about. It makes no sense. A fat cow is faster than Blaziken (Miltank).
-4:57 Harrison was shaking. I could hear the fear in his voice when he commanded Blaziken to evade.
-5:12 Another reason 1v1’s are not fun in the games is because the coverage on some pokemon is insane. You can’t have a cool battle if Blaziken is going to one-hit k.o. Charizard with rock slide or charizard vice versa with air slash. Only rock pokemon should get Rock Slide. If you really want to toss rocks at your opponent, use rock throw. It’s more realistic for a fire type to utilize and not as cheap.

-5:26 Full power Dragon Rage, eh? If Pokemon belonged to me I would give Dragon Rage and Seismic Toss the same properties (same damage as the user’s level). Thankfully they introduced Dragon Pulse and Dragon Breath. But I still don’t think Dragon Rage should be utter trash. Whether you learn it at a low level or a high level, it should have some use in competitive play.
-5:31 I was already considering putting move collisions in my game. After seeing this episode again, it makes me wanna do it that much more. We’ll see.
-6:26 “I know you can do it!” I’d wanna get up too after that. After getting this far in the league, as charizard, I wouldn’t wanna let Ash down again. Especially since this lazy belly dragon was the main reason he lost his first league when a powerful pokemon like charizard was easily able to win him the trophy. Why Ash and Ritchie never got a rematch, I’ll never know. Maybe it’ll happen in journeys.
-6:27 I can’t watch anymore. Charizard ain’t lookin’ too hot. That weak roar did not inspire confidence.

-7:09 Noctowl was not a good pick for this battle. He should have switched out as soon as he saw Steelix. There were no twists and turns at all until the end. It kept going back and forth at the same pace.

-Final Thoughts: AMAZING battle! 10/10. I’m only harsh when I need to be. Most of the time I love everything. lol I used to watch the entire battle multiple times on my gameboy sp. Yes, they sold full episodes of cartoons on Gameboy sp. Crazy, right? I also had the “hot water battles” episode.
-I’ve been making these analysis videos because it’s hard to bring myself to play the games. They are so bad. I just want to play MY OWN pokemon game, man. Gamefreak doesn’t know what they are doing. One day I will have my chance. But it’ll take a while :(

After Battle Revolution on Wii, the 3D model animations became bland.
Why make the pokemon stand still when they miss their attack. That's so BORING!
Stadium will forever be the best Pokemon game series. The anime is more realistic than the games.
