Oh good, now we have Soi Fon on the scene, between the two of them on the stable-minded side of the spectrum of the captains of the Thirteen Court Guard Squads, surely this means things will start to get more reasonable-- ...oh wait...that's right, Soi Fon has her own little hangup...named "Yoruichi Shihoin"...or "Madam Yoruichi" to the likes of you. I guess the common thread in all these episodes is exploiting the most idiosyncratic quirks of the various Bleach characters and calling it a day.

Soi Fon, like Yachiru or Shuhei, is not one to be underestimated, what with all that speed at her disposal and more rapid-cancelling attacks than you can shake a Senbonzakura at.

Next to her, the other characters in this section are nowhere near as able to keep Byakuya under too much pressure to pull off his moves.

Oh, and what's the deal with Byakuya rebuking Matsumoto for her "pride" interfering with victory? In addition to making absolutely no sense, he's basically the last person who gets to say something like that to anybody in the whole cast of Bleach.

Am I the only one amused by the fact that Byakuya's specialized recognition of Ganju is met with a "Here I come, boy!"? Unfortunately for Ganju, he apparently didn't come much better prepared with a battle strategy than he did for the battle of wits that preceded it.
